Know when you're down. Tell customers before they ask.

StatusBeacon checks your website, API, and scheduled jobs around the clock. When one fails, it opens the incident and updates a fast public status page, so your support inbox stays quiet.

The Free plan includes 5 monitors, 5 components, and email subscribers. No credit card required.

Catch problems before your customers do

Website and API

HTTP(S) checks that read the response body, headers, and JSON fields. Catch a "200 OK" that is secretly broken, not just a dead endpoint.

SSL certificates

Get warned before a certificate expires, with a lead time you choose, not after visitors see browser warnings.

TCP ports

Connection checks for anything that is not HTTP: databases, mail servers, custom services.

DNS resolution

Confirm a hostname still resolves, and optionally pin it to the IP you expect so a misconfiguration is caught fast.

Cron and heartbeat

A dead-man's switch for scheduled jobs. Your job pings StatusBeacon on success, and you are alerted when it goes quiet.

Automatic incidents

Repeated failures open an incident on your status page, and it closes itself when the check recovers.

A status page your customers trust

Real uptime numbers

Every page shows a 90-day uptime percentage computed from actual check history, never a hard-coded "99.9%."

Your brand, not ours

Add your logo and brand color to the public page.

Components with their own status

Split your product into parts, each with its own status and uptime figure.

Scheduled maintenance

Announce maintenance windows in advance so a planned change never looks like an outage.

Full incident timeline

Every update is timestamped with its impact level. The whole history stays visible, not just the latest line.

Loads instantly

The public page is plain server-rendered HTML. Nothing heavy to download before someone can see whether you are up.

Tell people the moment it matters

Email

Subscribers are emailed when an incident opens, updates, or resolves.

Slack

Post monitor and incident events into the channel where responders and support already work.

Webhooks

Signed outgoing webhooks to wire StatusBeacon into anything else, with automatic retry when a delivery fails.

Built for a real team

Single sign-on included

Every plan includes SSO. There is no enterprise tier gate on how your team signs in.

Role-based access

Owner, Admin, Responder, and Viewer roles, so each teammate sees and does only what their role allows.

API and scoped keys

A programmatic API with scoped keys, for teams who manage monitors and incidents as code. Every change lands in an audit log.

What StatusBeacon is not (yet)

StatusBeacon is built for customer-facing status communication backed by real checks. It does not replace PagerDuty, Opsgenie, or a full observability stack. Phone-call escalation, on-call rotations, private pages, custom domains, custom CSS, multi-region probing, RSS and Teams integrations, and SMS delivery are on the roadmap and not available today.
